Headers deliver up to 15% more horsepower than stock cast-iron manifolds by moving spent gases fast. Primary tube diameter sets the powerband shape on any race build.
Smaller primaries raise exhaust velocity for strong low-RPM torque and throttle response. Larger tubes drop velocity but feed high-RPM power with long-duration cams and high compression—verify numbers on your sheet.
Drag racing runs the classic four-into-one layout. Big primaries support the top-end rush once the car hooks on asphalt and climbs through the lights.
Circle track demands the 180-degree design that fires a pulse into each collector every 180 crank degrees. This layout keeps torque steady coming off the turns under checkered-flag pressure.
